Troon end of day 4
Made it to Troon after another very hard days cycling - as hard as yesterday. 82 miles, dreadful weather and some horrible A roads. Scottish coast to coast complete and 320 miles in the bag. Everybody is carry aches and pains- no idea it would be this hard. Looking forward to an easier day tomorrow and some of the promised sunshine. Off to the bar for a shandy or two..... (apologies to Doc Bex our dietician)

Great going all of you. We are all very proud. I am getting stopped in the street and getting lots of good wishes to pass onto you all. I'm also being asked why Steve dumped me for Sarah, but I am getting over it slowly!!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see you on Sunday for the pit stop & laundry exchange.

A few pieces of advise about tonights game..
ReplyDelete1. Find a TV with no Scttish people are watching.
2. Dont wear Orange.
3. Dont talk, you wll be indentified as English.
4. Dont cheer when England score.
5. Dont cheer when Holland score.
On second thoughts you would be better riding through the night and reaching the safe haven of Carlisle (I think its in England but only just)
Enjoy your day
P.S The weather is getting better down here and is set to last into the weekend.
Your GPS says you are in Stanhope, County Durham, which means that by my reckoning you are averaging about 40mph today. Good work. Kenilworth by Thursday teatime at this rate.
